Registration

4-B. 1[(1) Every owner of a shop or commercial establishment where the employees are working, within six months of the commencement of such business or within six months of the commencement of the Uttar Pradesh Dookan Aur Vanijya Adhisthan (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 1976 whichever is later, apply to the Inspector for registration of his shop or commercial establishment and if their application is complete in all respect, the registration of shop or commercial establishment shall be granted within one day from the date of submission of application, in such manner as may be prescribed :


Provided that if the Registering Officer fails to grant or refuse to grant or object to grant or pass an order of amendment, the registration shall be deemed to be granted, after the time mentioned under this sub-section.


(1-A) The applicant may submit his application on departmental web-portal along with necessary documents and payment of fees. In such case, if the application is complete and applicant is eligible automatic registration shall be granted by webportal and registration certificate shall be sent to applicant on his e-mail:


Provided that if the registration is obtained by misrepresenttation or concealment of facts or on the basis of forged documents, such registration shall be deemed null and void and may be cancelled by Registering Officer and legal action may be taken against the applicant.


Provided further that the registration granted shall not be considered in relation to ownership of shop or commercial establishment. ]1


2[(2) Every application for registration under sub-section (1) shall be in such form and shall be accompanied by such fees as may be prescribed.


(3) The Chief Inspector shall, on being satisfied that the prescribed fee has been deposited, register the shop or commercial establishment in the register maintained under section 4-A and shall issue a certificate of registration to the owner in such form and in such manner, as may be prescribed.]
