Section 131: Filling-up of vacancies
Filling-up of vacancies.
- If any vacancy occurs due to the disablement, death, resignation, disqualification, absence without leave or removal or otherwise of a Sarpanch or Upa-Sarpanch or other member, it shall be filled by nomination of another Sarpanch or Upa-Sarpanch or member, who shall hold office so long only as the Sarpanch or Upa-Sarpanch or member in whose place he has been nominated, would have held office if the vacancy had not occurred .Disclaimer: This section is reproduced for general informational and reference purposes only.
