Justice Pavankumar Bhimappa Bajanthri has been appointed as the Acting Chief Justice of the Patna High Court.
The Ministry of Law and Justice issued a notification under Article 223 of the Constitution, stating that he will assume charge once Justice Vipul Manubhai Pancholi vacates the office following his elevation to the Supreme Court of India.
The move ensures judicial continuity in Bihar as the High Court undergoes leadership transition. Justice Bajanthri, a senior judge of the Patna High Court, will oversee its functioning until a permanent Chief Justice is appointed. Legal experts believe the appointment is crucial to maintain efficiency and stability in the state's judicial system.
