The Delhi High Court on Friday granted anticipatory bail to Pinki and her son Ayush Bhedda, both accused in a high-profile cheating and forgery case linked to the construction firm M/s Sanrachna Infra Projects. Justice Ravinder Dudeja passed the order after hearing long arguments from both sides, observing that the matter appeared to arise more from business disputes than from pure criminal conduct.
Background
The case goes back to July 2024, when Ravinder Singh, one of the firm’s partners, lodged an FIR at Mukherjee Nagar police station. He accused Pinki, Ayush, and other partners of siphoning funds, forging documents, and issuing fake cheques. According to the FIR, the fraudulent acts caused heavy financial losses to the company and its stakeholders.

Pinki, who initially held a 30% stake in the firm, later increased her share to 40%. In 2019, her son Ayush was also inducted with a 10% share. The complainant alleged that both used their position as bank signatories to divert money. However, the petitioners countered that the real dispute was about partnership accounts already under arbitration. They also claimed that the complainant himself had misappropriated funds worth crores by creating a parallel firm with a similar name.
Court’s Observations
Justice Dudeja noted that while the allegations of forgery and cheating “cannot be outrightly ignored,” the root of the FIR seemed to lie in disagreements among business partners. “The substratum of allegations is embedded in a commercial relationship. Arbitration proceedings pending between parties reinforce this civil nature,” the bench observed.

The court also found that Ayush, who was inducted later with a small shareholding, did not appear to have any major role in management. Moreover, both petitioners had been under interim protection for over a year and had not misused their liberty. “No recovery remains to be made. The evidence is largely documentary, already accessible to investigators,” the judge said, while stressing that custodial interrogation was unnecessary.
Decision
Finally, the High Court allowed the bail pleas, directing that Pinki and Ayush be released on a personal bond of ₹50,000 each in the event of arrest. They must cooperate with the investigation, avoid influencing witnesses, and seek prior court permission before traveling abroad.
With this, both bail applications were disposed of. The judge clarified that the court had not commented on the merits of the criminal case, which will continue separately.
