The Delhi High Court has issued a notice in response to a petition demanding the release of a revised merit-cum-waiting list for the 2023 Delhi Judicial Services (DJS) Main Examination. The petition was filed by candidate Meenakshi Meena, who alleged unauthorized alterations in her answer sheet for the Civil Law-I paper.
The case was heard by a division bench comprising Justice C. Hari Shankar and Justice Ajay Digpaul, who directed the High Court administration, through its Registrar General, to respond within four weeks. The matter is scheduled for further hearing on October 14, 2025.

"Issue notice to show cause as to why rule nisi be not issued," the court stated.
Meena claimed that the marks awarded to her in Question No. 8 were altered both numerically and in words on her score sheet. These changes, she asserted, were made without any signature or initials from the examiner, raising questions about the authenticity of the modifications.
Despite submitting a formal representation to the Examination Committee to address the issue, she said no action had been taken. Her plea requests the restoration of the original marks, her inclusion in the viva voce, and a revised merit list reflecting the corrected scores.
“The said alteration and/or revision did not bear any authentication,” her plea emphasized.
The petition also urged the Court to set clear guidelines for examiners regarding changes to answer sheets, to ensure fairness and transparency in future evaluations.
