The Supreme Court of India has officially announced the constitution of a Special Bench for the hearing of a specific matter scheduled for August 5, 2025 (Tuesday). As per the notice issued on August 4, 2025, the Special Bench has been constituted to hear Miscellaneous Application (MA) No. 1380 of 2025 in Suo Motu Contempt (Civil) Case No. 3 of 2023.
According to the notification released by the Registry, the Special Bench will comprise:
The hearing is scheduled to take place in Court No. 12 at 1:00 PM today.

“A Special Bench comprising Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sanjay Karol and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sandeep Mehta has been constituted in Court No.12 on 05.08.2025 (Tuesday) at 1:00 p.m. for hearing M.A No.1380 of 2025 in SMC (C) No.3 of 2023,” the official notice stated.
The court has further informed that the regular benches in Court Nos. 12 and 17 will re-assemble to take up any leftover matters only after the hearing of the Special Bench is concluded.
“The regular Benches in Court Nos.12 and 17 will re-assemble to take up left over matters of these Courts, if any, after the hearing in Special Bench matter listed in Court No.12 at 1.00 p.m. is over,” the notice added.

This arrangement ensures minimal disruption in the daily functioning of the court while prioritizing the hearing of a significant matter listed before the specially formed bench.
The notice was officially released on August 4, 2025, and signed by the Deputy Registrar (DEU-II/Listing). It has been circulated to all concerned parties, ensuring transparency and clarity regarding the day’s court schedule.
