Supreme Court cancels Court No.16 sitting on August 4, 2025, as Justice Rajesh Bindal is unavailable. Cases re-listed for August 7 & 8; Transfer Petitions to be heard by Justice Manmohan.

Supreme Court Cancels Court No.16 Sitting on 4 August 2025, Cases Rescheduled

On August 3, 2025, the Supreme Court of India officially issued a notice regarding the cancellation of Court No.16's sitting scheduled for August 4, 2025 (Monday). The bench consisting of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Rajesh Bindal and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Manmohan will not be hearing any matters on that day.

The court clarified that:

“Hon’ble Mr. Justice Rajesh Bindal will not be holding the Court on 04.08.2025 (Monday). Hence, sitting of Court No.16 comprising Hon’ble Mr. Justice Rajesh Bindal and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Manmohan stands cancelled...”

As a result, all matters listed before this bench for August 4 will now be re-listed on August 7, 2025 (Thursday) and August 8, 2025 (Friday). However, it is important to note that Transfer Petitions will not be rescheduled along with the other matters.

Meanwhile, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Manmohan will still conduct judicial proceedings independently. He will take up Single Judge Bench/Chamber matters, including the Transfer Petitions originally listed for August 4, 2025. These proceedings will be held in Court No.16 at 10:30 a.m., as per a separate list being issued.

“Hon’ble Mr. Justice Manmohan will take up Single Judge Bench/Chamber matters on 04.08.2025 (Monday) in Court No.16 at 10.30 a.m... including Transfer Petitions...”
