According to Misri, clear instructions have been issued to both sides to implement this agreement immediately. He further mentioned that both Director Generals of Military Operations will hold another conversation on May 12 at 12:00 hours to review the ceasefire status and ensure continued coordination.
This decision follows Operation Sindoor, a major Indian military response conducted in the early hours of May 7. The operation targeted nine terrorist camps inside Pakistan, as a direct response to the deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam.
Soon after the operation, Pakistan attempted to escalate tensions by targeting Indian cities and military facilities. However, Indian forces successfully repelled these efforts, preventing any major damage.
