The Central Government, on May 26, officially notified the appointment of seven advocates, including one woman, as judges of different High Courts across the country.
Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal shared this announcement on social media platform 'X'. His post stated:
"In exercise of the power conferred by the Constitution of India, the President of India, after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, is pleased to appoint the following Advocates as High Court Judges..."

According to the notification:
- Deepak Khot, Amit Seth, and Pavan Kumar Dwivedi have been appointed as judges of the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
- Rohit Kapoor has been appointed as an additional judge of the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
- Subhash Upadhyay has been appointed as an additional judge of the Uttarakhand High Court.
- Smt Shamima Jahan has been appointed as an additional judge of the Guahati High Court.
- Sachin Shivajirao Deshmukh has been appointed as an additional judge of the Bombay High Court.
These appointments were made by the President of India after consultation with the Chief Justice of India, following the constitutional process.
