In a significant move to reorganize the higher judiciary, the Supreme Court Collegium, in its meeting held on May 26, 2025, recommended the transfer of four Chief Justices of High Courts across India. This decision aims to promote balanced representation and enhance the efficiency of judicial administration.

The proposed transfers are as follows:
- Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava, currently serving as the Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court, is recommended to be transferred to the Madras High Court.
- Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh, the Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court, is proposed to be moved to the Telangana High Court.
- Justice M.S. Ramachandra Rao, presently the Chief Justice of the Jharkhand High Court, is suggested for transfer to the Telangana High Court.
- Justice K.R. Shriram, serving as the Chief Justice of the Madras High Court, is recommended to be transferred to the Rajasthan High Court.
